There are two small local charities which can benefit residents of South Walsham.

Richard Harrold Charity gives grants to young people under 25 years of age resident in South Walsham towards apprenticeships, school and university costs, such as travel and course books: https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search/-/charity-details/311107

The trustees of Richard Harrold’s Charity will be deciding on grants in late September 2021.  Grants will be considered for young people aged less than 25, resident in South Walsham, who require financial assistance with apprenticeships or further education. Grants are not means-tested.

To apply for a grant please write to the clerk to the trustees, Mrs Pauline James, Beech Farm, 15 Marsh Road, Upton, NORWICH NR13 6BP telephone: 01493 – 751070, (or [email protected]) giving details of the costs of the course, books or equipment purchased, and travel costs, with itemised receipts.

Please apply by 19th September 2021.

Please note that students attending full-time university courses do not need to supply receipts, just to supply details of the course and the university attended.
