Richard Harrold’s Charity 

Grants will be considered for young people aged less than 25, resident in South Walsham, who require financial assistance with apprenticeships or further education. Grants are not means-tested.

To apply for a grant please write to the clerk to the trustees, Mrs Pauline James, Beech Farm, 15 Marsh Road, Upton, NORWICH NR13 6BP telephone: 01493 – 751070, (or paulinejames@aol.com) giving details of the costs of the course, books or equipment purchased, and travel costs, with itemised receipts.

Please note that students attending full-time university courses do not need to supply receipts, just to supply details of the course and the university attended.

Parish Council Vacancy 2024

To be able to become a councillor for South Walsham Parish Council, you must:

  • be an elector of the parish, or;
  • for the whole of the previous 12 months have occupied (as owner or tenant) land or other premises in the parish, or;
  • during the previous 12 months have worked in the parish (as your principal or only place of work), or;
  • for the whole of the previous 12 months lived in the parish or within three miles of the parish boundary.
  • be a least 18 years old.
